If you're considering joining a private golf club, there are two things
immediately important to you. The location of the club and the facility.
Located just 7 1/2 miles from downtown Minneapolis and close to the western
suburbs such as Plymouth and Wayzata, MGC is just a 10-minute drive from the
loop. It is a convenient location that allows you to get here sooner and
therefore, more time to play golf.We have just finished a complete renovation
of our bunkers and some of our tee boxes. This is a Willie Parks Jr. and
Donald Ross designed course. With the new renovation it brings the course
back to the traditional design of the course and has it playing better than
ever. Minneapolis Golf club was the host of the 1959 PGA Championship as
well as the Dayton's Challenge. This is truly a golfers golf club boasting
the highest number of single digit handicap players in the Midwest. We
have golfing activities for the whole family including junior camps and 9 and 18
hole leagues for women.
Once you arrive, our friendly and helpful staff will greet you. They will be
eager to assist you in getting to the first tee (after all, it is what you've
been looking forward to all day) find a game for you if you don't already have
one or provide a lesson to get your game in shape. After your round, relax with
your friends in an atmosphere of excellent food, service and camaraderie.
And don't forget the pool area. Completely refurbished prior to the 2000
swimming season, it consists of an Olympic-size pool, spacious sunning areas,
plus pool-side food and beverage service.
