Member Sponsorship
Contact the Catering Director for any non-member events.
Deposits
A $1,000.00 non-refundable, pre-payment will be required to confirm a reservation for all events. Smaller functions require a
lesser deposit.
Cancellations
If cancellation occurs within 90 days ofthe scheduled function, the party will be responsible for 50% ofthe estimated bill and
the non-refundable deposit. Cancellation 15 days prior to the event, the party is responsible for the food and beverage
minimum requirements. The Lounge has a $75.00 cancellation fee.
Member Room Rental Policy
Members are not subject to a room rental fee, however they must meet the food and beverage minimum. In order to waive the
room rental fee this must be a member event and billed to the member account.
Menu Pricing
Due to market conditions, menu pricing is subject to change without notice. MGC will guarantee pricing for all contracted
events 60 days prior to the event.
Guarantees
It shall be the client's responsibility to notify MGC with the final guarantee no later than 3 working days prior to the event by
10:00 am. This guaranteed number is not subject to reduction. Ifno guarantee is submitted, MGC will consider the original
number, which is on the event order as your guarantee.
Payment
Member events will be billed to their account. Non-Member events must pay the estimated bill no later than 3 business days
prior to the event unless credit terms have been approved. MGC does not accept 'credit cards.
Service Charge and Sales Tax
Food pricing is subject to a 21% service charge and a 6.5% Minnesota sales tax. The 21% service charge is taxed as required
by the State ofMinnesota. Beverage pricing is subject to 21% service charge and a 9% liquor sales tax. All pricing is subject
to a 0.15% Hennepin County sales tax and .25% transit sales tax. All service charges are the property ofMinneapolis Golf
Club, which has complete discretion as to its use and distribution.
Event Arrangements
All details must be submitted to the catering department no later than 2 weeks prior to the event date.
Meal Selections
You may serve up to (2) entree selections for your group, however, there will be an additional $1.00 added to each entree price.
Split entrees are available only for groups of 20 or more guests. It is the client's responsibility to provide proper meal
identification. Vegetarian and children's meals are available.
Liability
MGC will not assume any responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Food Regulations
Due to health department regulations and club policy, food and beverage must be prepared by MGC. In addition, MGC policy
prohibits us from allowing guests to take home extra food and beverage. You are welcome to provide your own party favors
and wedding cake at no additional charge. However any other cake (other than a wedding cake) brought in does have a $1.50
per person cake cutting fee. A licensed bakery must provide your cake.
Tastings
Tastings are available upon request three months prior to event date and must be reserved two weeks in advance. The cost of
the tasting is the price ofthe entree. You can try up to four entrees; anything over four entrees will be charged an additional
$4.00 per entree. You may reserve your tasting on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at Ipm, 2pm, or 3pm. Tastings typically
take up to two hours.
Music and Entertainment
The entertainer must contact the catering department prior to your event to go over any special needs they may require. All
entertainers must be set up before the arrival ofyour guests. We will not serve alcohol to entertainers and MGC does not
provide a complimentary meal. MGC has a grand piano on site for a rental fee of $25.00.
Dance Floor
MGC has a portable 15'x21' dance floor. There is a $75.00 set-up charge. Sales tax applies.
Decorations
You may provide your own decorations, however, no confetti or glitter is allowed or a $100.00 fee will be applied. We have
12x12 tiled mirrors and 6" rose bowls for your complimentary use. Citadel with liquid paraffin is available at $2.00 each to
rent. Sales tax applies.
Coat Check
Coat check is provided during the month of December. It is available at other times upon request and will be charged
according to the number of staff needed and hours required, $10.00 per hour per attendant and ifyou choose to not have a tip
jar, you will be billed $.50 per guest. Sales Tax applies
Smoking Policy
There is absolutely no smoking allowed in the Clubhouse. The client is responsible for informing your guests ofthis rule. We
have specific areas outside the clubhouse where smoking is permitted.
Golf Course
It is not acceptable for your guests to be on the golf course or riding golf carts.
Cellular Phone Policy
MGC strongly discourages cell phone use at the facility, cell phones must be on silent/vibrate or off at all times and are not allowed in dining areas. Phones may be used in locker rooms, foyer or outside. Clients are responsible for advising guests of and assisting them with policy compliance, and will be responsible for abuse of this policy.
Golf Course
It is not acceptable for your guests to be on the golf course or riding golf carts.
Damage to MGC
If any damage or cleanup is required due to your group's actions, an appropriate fee will be assessed
Specific Room Reservation
MGC reserves the right to move your group to a room that is more appropriate and as a general policy we cannot guarantee a
specific room for your event.

MGC will not assume any responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Bar Service
The club reserves the right to refuse service of alcoholic beverages to member and guests whenever deemed necessary. No
outside alcoholic beverages may be consumed on club property. If an additional bar set up is required, a $75.00 fee will apply.
